Examinations will be held on.......If you want your child to participate in exams, they will need to attend their ballet and/or tap lessons twice per week. Exams are optional, however you will not automatically go up to a higher grade next year if you have not reached the required standard.

To ensure that your child is given every opportunity to prepare for exams, private lessons are offered to all exam students. These lessons are not compulsory. Private lessons are given to re-teach or refine difficult steps at the students own pace, as well as breaking down complex steps that aren't quite grasped in class time. It also confirms that they are not relying on other student's memory. Private lessons must not clash with your normal lessons.

Private Lessons are payable in an envelope. Separate to your fees please.

Please write your name on the notice board if you would like a private lesson.

I will also tell students in class if they will need a private lesson. Parents are invited to sit in on private lessons as long as there are no interruptions.

Exam fees are paid to me, then I forward them on to Ballet Australasia Limited.

Ballet students should now be learning their theory, remember, you need to know all questions from previous grades.

Exam Procedure - Students are required to take the examination in groups of no larger than eight. Candidates are sent in height order and are numbered accordingly. They are not permitted to talk in the exam room, unless the examiner speaks to them. In ballet they are asked to do their steps either a line at a time or two or three at a time. In tap however, everything is done one at a time so their beats can be heard.

The children are marked on the following: Posture - Presentation - Knowledge - Technique - Timing
